Anya Drabkin
Anya Drabkin is a Senior Research Associate. Her primary areas of research interest include development and evaluation of social and behavioral prevention interventions to reduce disparities in health and behavioral outcomes, both in the U.S. and globally. Anya's research has targeted both youth and adult populations, and has ranged in thematic content, including: understanding origins of homelessness among African-American women in Chicago, preventing risky behavior among newly HIV-diagnosed MSM in New York City, curriculum development for a peer education HIV-prevention program in Cape Town, South Africa, and evaluating the effects of maternal incarceration on youth in North Carolina. Charles H. Klein is a Senior Research Scientist. He is currently principal investigator for "Adapting the SiSTA/SiHLE/WiLLOW Prevention Trilogy for Black Men", a Phase II SBIR grant supported through the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities. This project is developing and evaluating "Real Talk About Health", a new sexual health promotion program for Black gay men/MSM available in face-to-face and computer-delivered versions.
